In order to discuss the roadmap for the promotion of herbal and ayurvedic products, the Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council will organise a special meeting at Hyderabad on June 6, 2007.
The meeting will discuss barriers and constraints in the exports of ayurveda, siddha and unani (ASU) products promotions and expectations of the industry from the central government. It will also discuss the proposed introduction of export inspection certification scheme for the enhancement of export.
The meeting will witness presentations by Ranjit Puranik, general secretary, ADMA and Shashi Sareen, director, EIC. Shashi Sareen will make her presentation on certification programme limits for heavy metals, pesticidal residue, aflatoxins and bio-burden.
