Piramal Enterprises’ diagnostic division has decided to launch QDx Instacheck in April 2013 after selling 387 instruments in just 45 days from test marketing launch.
ODX Instacheck is a first-of-its-kind portable diagnostic device that is specifically designed to perform 20 clinical parameters and deliver quantitative results within 3–15 minutes. It covers wide therapeutic areas including cardiovascular disease, hormonal imbalance, emergency care, diabetes, oncology, infections, pregnancy and infertility management.
This portable and affordable device is unparalleled in delivering quantitative test results with lab accuracy. The device is virtually maintenance free and can be operated very easily with minimal training requirements. QDx Instacheck is particularly useful for doctors’ clinics, emergency care units (such as ICU, CCU), hospitals, pathological labs, IVF centres, ambulance services, pharmaceutical companies and NGOs engaged in healthcare services.

QDx Instacheck has been commercially test marketed from January to March 2013 across various parts of India through our field force and over 250 authorised distributors.
Piramal Enterprises entered the diagnostic business by acquiring Boehringer Mannheim India Ltd (Roche Diagnostics) in the year 1996. Currently the diagnostic division caters to both traditional Lab based diagnostic supplies and emerging point-of-care diagnostic market in physicians office. It primarily presents in clinical chemistry, haematology, immunology, urine analysis and rapid tests segments with leading brands like Diasys, Swelab etc. Diagnostic division’s future growth strategy is primarily build on emerging point-of-care segment with series of new launches of innovative instant diagnostic devices under in-house QDx brand in 2013.
