Practo offers free online medical consultation for cancer patients and general public
Practo, the healthcare platform has roped in leading oncologists to provide free online medical consultation to answer queries of cancer patients, survivors and general public. This was part of the World Cancer Day observed annually on February 4.
The live session was conducted via Practo Consult, which helps users get free and accurate answers to health queries. The session saw massive participation with users interacting via various social media channels which provided an opportunity to get free access to well-known oncologists in the country and made the event become the top twitter trend for the day. Almost a thousand questions on cancer were asked during the course of the activity, stated the company press release.
“It is time that we conquer cancer that is spreading rapidly. Everyone should make an effort to prevent and overcome it by identifying the right signs and scheduling the right tests to enable early detection. According to the World Health Organization, 8.2 million people succumb to cancer annually. “The first step to find a solution is to create awareness, detect the symptoms well in time and find the right doctor or hospital.
