Praful Sheth elected as vice-president of FAPA, B Suresh remain chairman, education wing
Praful Sheth, representative of Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Mumbai, has been elected as vice-president, Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) and Dr. B. Suresh has been re-elected as the chairman of the education division of FAPA for the period of 2002-2006.
The new office bearers were elected during the 9th Congress of the Federation, which was held between October 5 and 8, 2002 at Seoul. The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) was represented by Dr. B. Suresh, principal, J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Ootacamund, Prof. C.K. Kokate, president, Pharmacy Council of India, Prof. T.V. Narayana, principal, SBD College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, V. Shanmugam, chairman, Nandha College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Erode, in the FAPA Congress.
At the FAPA Congress, which was attended by several scientists, industrialists and research scholars, the Indian delegates presented papers on two different topics. While Dr Suresh presented his research paper on Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy entitled 'Preparing Pharmacists for Clinical Roles in India', Prof. C Kokate presented his paper entitled 'Effective Patient Care Through Pharmacists' at the Congress.
