ProPak Asia 2009 to be held in Thailand from June 17

In a move to cater to the growing processing, filling and packaging needs of pharmaceutical, healthcare and other industries, the UK-based Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd (BES), one of the leading international tradeshow organisers, is all set to hold ProPak Asia at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand from June 17 to 20, 2009.

ProPak Asia 2009 is the most important processing and packaging event in Asia and a must attend event for all international machinery and equipment manufacturers and suppliers who seek to penetrate the Asian markets.

"ProPak Asia 2009 will be the largest international processing and packaging event held in Asia with a total of over 30 countries exhibiting either as international groups or as independent companies," according to BES sources.

ProPak Asia was first organised in Singapore in 1983 and later changed the venue to Bangkok in 1989. After continuous development, the event has become the region's premier manufacturing and packaging technology showcase. Now it has been undoubtedly considered as a strategic platform for potential buyers and sellers, as well as specialists from public and private sectors, entrepreneurs and investors from around the globe to share their insights and create new business opportunities.

"Highlights of this year's event include the biggest assembly of processing and packaging machines and materials as well as more comprehensive updates on pharmaceuticals, filling and food and drink processing. Moreover, trade exhibition space for laboratory equipment will be expanding its space to meet the increasing international demand for product R&D and quality assurance" said, David Aitken, managing director, Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd.

This year, the event is expected to feature more than 800 international exhibitors and draw up to 30,000 visitors from around the world, representing pharmaceuticals, healthcare and other industries.

ProPack Asia 2009 is learnt to focus on cost reduction and energy efficiency for pharma packaging and food processing and packaging.

In 2008, ProPak Asia experienced a phenomenal achievement as it drew more than 700 leading processing and packaging machine manufacturers from Japan, Germany, China, Singapore, UK, Korea, Taiwan, Italy, India, USA, Australia, Spain and France to participate in the four-day show.
