Quadio Devices Pvt Ltd, a leading hearing care provider of India, has launched for the first time an innovative Q+ hearing app in Mumbai on android and iOS platforms. The app is poised to be a holistic mobile based hearing solution equipped with all the features of a conventional hearing tool.

The Q+ app is a first of its kind free application that is ultra-advanced besides being affordable, accessible, controllable and customizable. Quadio uses the latest internet and mobile technology to push the boundaries of tele-medicine and hearing care and merge the worlds of healthcare and technology.

Established in 2009, Quadio headquartered in Pune aims to provide affordable high-quality hearing care solutions Founded by two technocrats, the company is involved in R and D, manufacture and distribution of hearing health care services and devices.

The Q+ app harnesses the processing power of smart phone to enable it to be used as a complete and fully functional hearing mechanism. It is designed to maximize the listening experience based on the results of a simple interactive hearing test. The app also gives you the ability to control and customize sound quality by intelligently enhancing hearing sounds and speech.

With the Q+ app you can easily follow conversations using the phone headset in both quiet and noisy environments, and control the sound quality to customize it to your preference. The inbuilt hearing test in Q+ is calibrated for accuracy as per ANSI standards for audiometry.

Talking about the app, Neeraj Dotel, CEO, Quadio Devices Pvt Ltd said, “There are less than 2000 practicing audiologists in India and therefore most people have never actually received treatment until their hearing has degraded severely with age. The Q+ app is a example of the innovative capabilities of Quadio where our customers don’t have to shell out big bucks for hearing care and anyone with a smartphone can now have access to high-quality hearing mechanism.”

Hearing loss is the second largest disability in the country that affects more than 120 million lives with majority sufferers over the age of 60.

Anurag Sharma, co-founder and CTO Quadio Devices Pvt Ltd said, “It gives me extreme pleasure to introduce Q+, a hearing solution app that delivers a complete hearing experience. When we started Quadio in 2009, the objective was to come up with a hearing solution that empowered people to hear what they wanted, how they wanted and wherever they wanted. The flexibility of controls offered by a smartphone app is much more than that offered by conventional hearing aids and, along with the affordability of smartphones, the reach of app store, and the inbuilt test, this gets us closer to achieving our objective. I appreciate the hard work put in by our team in creating a wonderful amalgam of technology, intuitive design and stellar performance into a package that is Q+.”

ENT specialist Padma Shri awardee Dr. Milind Kirtane, consultant ENT surgeon at Hinduja Hospital said, “I would say it would be ideal that universal new-born hearing screening be made compulsory or obligatory, because early detection and therefore early intervention, can really make a significant difference in the life of a person affected with hearing loss.”

Quadio was founded by two IIT graduates – Paresh Patel from IIT Kanpur and Anurag Sharma, a silver medallist from IIT Bombay with a vision to deliver innovative hearing solutions to anyone, anytime, anywhere, and empower individuals to hear what they want, how they want and when they want. Their mission is to increase penetration of hearing aids and solutions across the globe thus leading to improved quality of life for the hearing impaired.

I am residing in south bombay,--. an elderly women of 75 yrs , using Elcon devise with which I am not happy. In fact I have not used fro many months, but started using recently and not happy.
I had shown to Dr Kirtane where he said nothing can be done in R ear where there is complete loss of hearing. In L ear I could hear little. These hearing loss in R ear was of sudden (acute) origin.
In which way you can help . Is there any new thing which you can offer me in Bombay-south side? better technology then Elcon? I am interested only if there is something new in your device.

Did Dr. Kirtane say anything about the Quadio Device? Is it safe, useful, and advisable for the elderly to use? Are the claims of the company right? Can you pl ask him in the interest of the patients?
