Quantum Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Quantum Pharma PLC, the leading manufacturer and supplier of unlicenced medicines, has signed a three-year exclusive supply contract with Bestway Panacea Healthcare Ltd, a subsidiary of Bestway Group, which will see it supply unlicenced medicines and Special Obtain products to Bestway's pharmacy stores.

Quantum Pharma is a manufacturer and service provider to the pharmaceutical sector. Its core business is its subsidiary, Quantum Pharmaceutical, which manufactures and supplies Specials and Special Obtains to retail pharmacy chains and pharmaceutical wholesalers in the UK, as well as hospitals, independent pharmacies and dispensing doctors.

In a statement, the company said the agreement is set to commence on January 1, 2015, with commercial negotiations to take place each year.

Under the deal, Quantum Pharma will supply each of Bestway's 774 pharmacy stores. Bestway's pharmacy stores currently trade under the brand name Co-operative Pharmacy, which it acquired earlier this year for GBP620 million.
