Ranbaxy to import nine veterinary vaccines from Ceva-Phylaxia in Hungary
Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited has received clearances from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) to import nine veterinary vaccines from Ceva-Phylaxia Veterinary Biologicals Co, Hungary. The DCGI has also issued import registration certificates for 22 formulations and 36 bulk drugs to various companies during the last month (Aug 15 - Sep 15).
The Ranbaxy can now import and sell Cevac Bron 120 L (infectious bronchitis vaccine H120 strain), Cevac Mass L (infectious bronchitis Massachusetts B48 strain), Cevac FP L (fowl pox vaccine), Cevac BI L (infectious bronchitis + new castle disease vaccine), Cevac NB L (new castle disease - Lasota Strain + infectious bronchitis vaccine), Cevac New L (new castle disease vaccine - Lasota Strain), Cevac UNI L (new castle disease vaccine HB1 strain), Cevac Vitapest L (new castle disease vaccine P.H.Y. LMV strain) and Cevac Gumbo L (infectious bursal disease vaccine LIBOV strain) in the domestic market.
Among the DCGI clearances for formulations, 10 are for Baxter (India) Pvt. Ltd, two to Saxsons Biotech Pvt. Ltd. and Adina-Vet, and one each for United Biotech Pvt. Ltd., Zydus Sarabhai Animal Health, Medi Globe, Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Novartis, Aristo Pharmaceuticals, Chandra Bhagat Chemicals, and Roche Scientific.
Clearances for bulk drug imports were given to Anant & Co (4), Kenko (4), Ruskin Chemipharm (5), Nicholas Piramal India Ltd (3), Ethachem (3), Archerchem (2), Gaurav Pharma Pvt Ltd (2), Indena S A (2), Venkatarama Chemicals (2), Chemet (2), and one each for Nayyar Medicines, Sanofi Syntholab, Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Essem Agencies, Noveon, UCB India LTD and Shivam Pharmachem.
