A new HIV drug sourced from HIV virus itself has been developed and clinical trials conducted on 30 AIDS patients has proved its safety and efficacy. This breakthrough in treatment of AIDS is also complemented by the potential of homoeopathy research in areas of medicine like Nanotechnology and treatment of hemophilia as well.

These discussions were shared at a conference organised by Global Homoeopathy Foundation (GHF) in Mumbai recently on homoeopathy researches in HIV, Nanotechnology and Hemophilia done by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Haffkine Institute.

Informed Dr Rajesh Shah, organizing secretary, GHF on the sidelines of the conference, "GHF has developed a new medicine for AIDS patients, sourced from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) itself. The drug has been tested on humans for safety and efficacy and the results are encouraging.

"This was based on the clinical trials conducted on 30 AIDS patients. It was found that the drug resulted in improvement of blood count (CD4 cells) of HIV patients which is a very positive and hopeful sign,” he explained.

Research by Dr Kanjaksha Ghosh, director, National Institute of Immuno-Haematology (NIIH), ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) on recent homoeopathy research in Hemophilia revealed that the blood disease which leads to uncontrolled bleeding can bring relief to the patients by the  usage of allopathy and homoeopathy combination. The medicine was tested on 494 patients whose profuse bleeding was effectively checked.

Dr Jayesh Bellare, head of department, chemical engineering, IIT- B, worked on the research which show that homeopathic medicines have nano- particles and dispels the myth that homeopathic medicines don’t have any content.

Dr Akalpita Paranjape, a physicist and ex-scientist BARC, briefed about the electrical device developed by former BARC scientist Dr GD Jindal. The device is capable of demonstrating the effects of homoeopathic medicines in a matter of few minutes.
