ResMed launches ‘AirSense 10 Autoset’ to treat obstructive sleep apnea

ResMed India, a medical device company that specializes in treating sleep disordered breathing and other chronic diseases has launched its latest generation auto adjusting pressure device AirSense 10Autoset. Designed to provide unprecedented comfort and clinical efficiency at every stage of treatment, the device offers better therapy, greater comfort and ease of use to patients with sleep disorders.

Each device comes with integrated heated humidifier, HumidAir and enhanced Climate Control through ClimateLineAir which helps to deliver the optimal temperature and humidity. It also comes with enhanced Autoset algorithm thus delivering the ultimate experience in sleep.

The device comes with additional features like AutoRamp with sleep onset detection designed to make therapy as comfortable as possible. Cheyne Stokes Respiration Detection provides valuable information to the physicians on the continued health of their patient. Autoset Response feature offers all the benefits of AutoSet therapy with added options of gentler pressure increases for a more comfortable night's sleep.

Ambient Light Sensor adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the amount of light in the room. QuickNav feature gives a user-friendly interface and Easy-Breathe Motor makes the device noiseless and allows the patient and the bed-partner a quiet sleep every night.

Sleep disorders is a growing concern and represents a significant number in India. Recent estimates of OSA prevalence suggest that 13 per cent of men and six per cent of women in India have OSA.
