Rhenium Clinical Research opens operations in India

Rhenium Clinical Research has opened its operations in the country to focus on training and discovery development. Headquartered in Bangalore, the company will address the manpower requirements for contract research and clinical research companies through Rhenium Academy of Clinical Research.

The institute is established to meet the growing demand for clinical research professionals. With its expertise and reputed faculty, Rhenium Academy will also offer a platform for research in bio-medical, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and healthcare. The course fee is Rs 60,000 for duration of four months in the area of clinical research education.

The eligibility for the course includes life sciences graduates in the field of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and degree holders in biotechnology, microbiology genetics, biostatistics, and biochemistry.

Onsite training will also be provided in different therapeutic areas including ICF process, monitoring plans, source documents, case report forms, and standard operating procedures. This training will be followed by a review and discussion. Using clinical research applications issue, action follow up, report writing technique and ICH GCP action plans are presented to provide the candidates an overall grip of the clinical research market requirements, stated Dr Shailendra B Shettennavar, chief executive officer, Rhenium Clinical Research.

As part of its business focus in the area of clinical research, Rhenium will also look at patient recruitment, investigator services, stem cell research coordination, monitoring, and handling US FDA and sponsor audits. The company also has the expertise in offering consultancy on the regulatory front in phase-I and phase-II trials.

Rhenium will gear up to provide 2000 ICH GCP trained investigators across the country. It will develop a database of over 250 sites to conduct all phases of trials. It will be associated with premier universities and hospitals in the country.
