RNIS College of Clinical Research to set up more centres at Mumbai, Hyderabad

The Delhi based RNIS College of Clinical Research and Allied Sciences is planning to open more centres at Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. The centres are expected to start regular batches from mid-2009. The centres will be offering various diploma courses for clinical research.

Recently, RNIS has opened its centre at Delhi and currently it is offering part time weekend batches for post graduate in clinical research. Further, it is also conducting six month weekend courses in clinical research and certificate course in clinical data management. For the post graduate course, RNIS will be enrolling 40 students with a course fee of Rs 1.30 lakh annually. Similarly, it is planning to enrol 30 students for reaming two part time courses. The course is designed for graduate in life science, MBBS doctors, BAMS, ayurvedic doctors, dentists, gynaecologists, etc.

RNIS is in the process to enrol students for one year full time course of Advance post graduate diploma in clinical research. Till now it has enrolled 23 students and same batches will run from July 2008 onwards.

Speaking to Pharmabiz, Kuldeep Pareek, head of sale, said, "We have already commenced our centre at New Delhi. We are in the process to set up more centres at Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. Our each centre will cost between 25-30 lakh, excluding Mumbai. We are planning an investment of Rs 50 lakh in Mumbai due to high cost of premises. We will be carrying out all existing courses in our new centres also. We are allowing students to pay their fees in instalments. We are offering several courses with the total cost in the range between Rs 1.10-2.90 lakh."

Till now, the company has trained more than 8 lakh students in different fields across country. It has established itself as a powerful brand in the fields of actuarial science, insurance, banking, and financial planning. Overall, it has more than 10,000 industry experienced faculties. It also has a campus placement service for its students. The company has tied up with more than 25 clinical research organisation and pharma companies.

Recently, RNIS has tied up with Delhi based hospital, Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences Hospital (VIMHANS). "We are providing hands-on-training to the students enrolling for the clinical research programme. Our students will be getting benefit from the practical exposure at VIMHANS Hospital, New Delhi where US FDA approved global clinical trials is being conducted", Pareek added.
