Rockwell ties up with Cadmach group for pharma machinery automation
Rockwell Automation, one of the world's leading industrial automation companies, as part of its added thrust on the pharmaceutical industry in India, has tied up with the Kevin Technologies (P) Ltd (KTPL), an Ahmedabad-based pharma engineering and solutions company. KTPL is the engineering and technology arm of the leading pharma machinery company Cadmach Machineries Company, which markets the products and services of KTPL all over India and abroad.
Kevin Technologies, is engaged in providing automation, validation and complete turn-key shop floor to top-floor solutions in the field of consumer products industry and especially in the pharmaceuticals and the food industry. While, Cadmach is one of the largest producers of tablet presses in India, which has a 35 year history in serving the Indian pharmaceutical industry.
Speaking to Pharmabiz.com, Ranjan De, managing director, Rockwell Automation India, informed that the tie-up with the pharma machinery group is almost through and the final stage discussions are currently going on. "Since we wanted to have a strategic partner in the area of pharma engineering, we had been talking to several other players as well in the country. However, the company has decided on the Cadmach tie-up now," he added.
P. H. Vachhrajani, chief executive, Cadmach Machinery, confirmed that the joint venture between KTPL and Rockwell is an ideal synergy in the area of pharmaceutical industry automation field. "With this tie-up KTPL would provide automation services for our machines using Rockwell solutions," he said.
Currently, KTPL has another joint venture with the Vac-U-Max Inc, USA, to provide material handling solutions based on the highly successful range of Pneumatic Conveying Systems which have been designed and manufactured by Vac-U-Max, USA.
