SMPIC acts as a single- window to boost the morale of pharma industry according to Prof K K Bhutani, director NIPER.
Delivering his welcome address at the one day seminar on “Validation “an important part of GMP compliance in pharma industry, organized by “Small and Medium Pharmaceutical Industry Centre (SMPIC)” at NIPER-SAS Nagar (Mohali), he said that validation is a documented act of demonstrating that procedure, process and activity will lead to the consistent and expected outcome.
Lalit Jain, chairman SMPIC highlighted the activities and achievements of SMPIC since its establishment and its vision to upgrade technical and job oriented training programs towards the global excellence and to stop the Chinese monopoly of supply of API’s required for formulation exports.
Dr D Roy Dy. Drugs Controller, CDSCO (NZ), Ghaziabad delivered the lecture on “Why Validation is requires? From Regulatory point of view”. Dr Sanjay Jachak, Incharge SMPIC, Ravi Saxena, director CGMP Pharma ‘n’ Plans Ltd., Delhi, .Aprajita Takiar, managing director of Lark Laboratories (India) Ltd were among the invited speakers who delivered the lectures on “Validation of HVAC(DQ,IQ,OQ and PQ” and “Process Validation (including prospective, retrospective and concurrent” and analytical method validation etc.
Prof Saranjit Singh, Dean NIPER and many more faculty members were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
All lectures were delivered by eminent speakers from the regulatory bodies and the pharma industry. About 100 registered participants from industry and academia attended the seminar.
