Dr Victoria F Hynes, president and CEO, RTI said that the company wanted to focus its work mainly in the field of Aids researches and on behaviours sciences, and on how the people should ask not to indulge in that kind of activities that lead them aids affected, as it has become a major problem in India. "We are also working over drug development projects with cheaper drug technologies for the poor people as most of the drug technologies, that are available at the moment, can be used only to make expansive medicines and poor people can't afford it," said Victoria.

Talking over the public health, she said that the company wanted to enhance the public health and a proper health infrastructure within India but until and unless cooperation comes from the Indian government, it would not be possible. "We are developing relations with Indian government authorities because it is a public-private criterion," she said. The company was focusing on public health and claimed that it has helped to vaccinate around 2000 people for typhoid and cholera in India.

She further said that the company was planning to set up a R&D centre in New Delhi to tap Indian research and scientist's pool. The centre will enable the company to have right interactions with the Indian scientific community and the American counterparts over a period of time.
