S K Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Gujarat is organising a two-day national seminar on “emerging trends in herbals and cosmetics analysis” on February 22 & 23 at the college premises.  The main aim is to highlight the latest and emerging analytical and other techniques for quantification of active as well as other important/key ingredients of herbal and cosmetic preparations.

The two-day symposia is sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Sources from the college said that this seminar is a theory based wherein students will be given knowledge regarding emerging trends in herbals and cosmetics and practical knowledge will also be provided. This is a platform where all colleges and institutes are taking part to provide in-depth information.

The eminent resource persons from academia and industry will deliver in-depth information on the topics including herbals and cosmetics formulation – extraction and standardization procedures, regulatory guidelines for herbals and cosmetics evaluation, quality control - Herbals and cosmetic preparations, recent innovations in herbals and cosmetics analysis and importance of various ingredients in herbals and cosmetics manufacturing.

The event is organised for all the teachers of pharmacy colleges, professionals, PG students, researchers and scientists from academic institutions and industries.

The college has also called for research and technical papers in the emerging fields of herbals, cosmetics and chromatographic.
