Sales of MedMira Rapid HIV tests expanded to Western Africa

MedMira Inc, a market leader in flow-through diagnostics for infectious diseases, announced the Company's penetration into the African market by expanding from South Africa to Western Africa with its recent shipment of HIV Tests to Med Distribution Internationale (MDI). This order was placed for MiraWell Rapid HIV Tests and will be sold in the Republic of Benin.

MDI is an established African company that distributes healthcare products to pharmaceutical outlets, hospitals and general practitioners and is committed to improving healthcare by delivering quality medical products, including the MiraWell Rapid HIV Tests.

The Republic of Benin, a prominent West African republic with a strong democratic government, is located between Nigeria and Togo. Prevalence of HIV in Benin is approximately 3 per cent of the total population. Recent statistics indicate that the disease is spreading steadily, especially among young adults.
