Sankara Eye Care, Hinduja Hospital receive IMC RBNQ award in healthcare sector

Sankara Eye Care Institutions India and P D Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai received IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality (IMC – RBNQ) Award  2014 in healthcare sector.  

IMC – RBNQ is a joint initiative of the Indian Merchants’ Chambers and House of Bajaj. Named after Late Ramkrishna Bajaj, the award, established in 1996 to provide special recognition to excellence in organisations, is the most prestigious national quality award in India.

Dr. R V Ramani, founder and managing trustee, Sankara Eye Care Foundation India received the award by Vishwanathan Anand, five time world chess champion at the Making Quality Happen Awards Ceremony. As winner of the IMC RBNQA award, Sankara is now eligible to apply for the Global Performance Excellence Award, the only formal global recognition of performance excellence. The IMC-RBNQ Performance Excellence Trophy 2014 in Healthcare category was presented to Gautam Khanna, chief executive officer, P D Hinduja Hospital with Joy Chakraborty, COO and Sanjay Agarwala, director-professional services by chief guest of the event Vishwanathan Anand along with Suresh Lulla, chairman, IMC RBNQ awards committee; Niraj Bajaj, chairman, IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj Trust; Prabodh Thakker, president, IMC; Dilip Piramal, vice president, IMC and Arvind Pradhan, director general, IMC.
