Sanofi-Aventis reported strong growth of 10.1 per cent in net sales during second quarter 2005 and its net sales touched to 6,687 million Euros, taking the Group’s world market share to 5.57 per cent. Its top 15 products achieved a growth of 16.2 per cent.

The company’s sales for the first half ended June 2005 increased by 11 per cent to 13,104 million euros and its top 15 products notched up a growth of 17.3 per cent to 7,793 million euros. The pharmaceutical sales up by 11 per cent to 12,402 million euros. Net sales generated by the rest of the portfolio in the first half of 2005 were 4,609 million euros, a rise of 1.8 per cent. The consolidated net sales of human vaccines business increased by 10.4 per cent to 702 million euros.

The company’s sales in Europe increased by 9.5 per cent to 3,070 million euros and same in US went up by 12.7 per cent to 2,253 million euros in first half of 2005. The sales of Lantus and Eloxatin went up by 49.6 per cent 41.7 per cent respectively.
