Sanofi India net moves up by 37.5% in Q1, Charles Billard will be new CFO

Sanofi India has posted strong growth of 37.5 in net profit during the first quarter ended March 2018 to Rs.82.5 crore from Rs.60 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its gross sales increased by 12.7 per cent to Rs.578 crore from Rs.513 crore. EPS worked out to Rs.35.87 as compared to Rs.26.09 in the last period.

For the full year ended December 2017, Sanofi's net sales reached at Rs.2,327 crore and it registered a net profit of Rs.326 crore with EPS of Rs.141.74.

After announcement of financial results, Sanofi scrip improved by Rs.44.50 to Rs.4,878.90 on BSE. The company appointed Charles Billard as chief financial officer and key managerial personnel with effect from July 1, 2018. Lionel Guerin, the current chief financial officer and whole time director will take up a new role within Sanofi group and will therefore step down as CFO and whole time director of the company with effect from the close of the day June 30, 2018.
