Sanofi India net up by 11% in Q3

Sanofi India, a Rs.2,050 crore MNC, has posted net profit growth of 11.2 per cent during the third quarter ended September 2016 to Rs.80.6 crore as against Rs.72.5 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its net sales also improved by 5.4 per cent to Rs.582.8 crore from Rs.552.6 crore. EBDITA moved up by 5.4 per cent to Rs.159.5 crore from Rs.151.3 crore. EPS worked out to Rs.35.04 as against Rs.31.52 in the last period.

The board of directors paid handsome interim dividend of Rs.18 per share of Rs.10 each for the year ending December 2016 during August 2016.

For the nine months period ended September 2016, Sanofi's net sales increased by 8.4 per cent to Rs.1,654 crore from Rs.1,527 crore in the similar period of last year and its net profit improved by 22.5 per cent to Rs.246.5 crore from Rs.201.3 crore.
