Scientific committee finalizes list of key speakers, topics for 63rd IPC
The Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Bangalore in collaboration with the Central Scientific Committee of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA) has finalized the list of key speakers and topics for the upcoming 63rd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress.
The Committees are prepared to offer scientific sessions covering the most current and advanced topics. The scientific sessions are organized in various forms such as symposia, panel discussion and poster presentations by research scholars. The subjects of 12 symposia are current and contemporary in nature and have been carefully selected to cater to the needs of all participating stakeholders - industrial pharmacists, community pharmacists, the hospital pharmacists, clinicians, academicians & students.
The topics are in line with the conference theme“Vision2020, India- The Pharma Powerhouse” and will provide valuable and practical learning opportunities for all the participants to help them to face the current global challenges successfully.
The conference will help in disseminating scientific knowledge and facilitate exchange of new ideas among the members of pharmacy profession.
International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), India Affiliate has designed a track to focus on current industry and regulatory topics. Key speakers and chairmen of the event are Subodh Priolkar, president, IPCA, India, general manager, Colorcon Asia and in his presidential address will cover the theme of the event: Pharma Vision 2020: India -The Pharma Powerhouse.
Dr Surinder Singh, The former Drug Controller General of India will be the chairman : Symposium on Current Regulatory Challenges.
Dr B R Jagashetty, Drugs Controller, Karnataka, Bengaluru and chairman, 63rd IPC, Bengaluru will deliver the key note address on the Current Regulatory Challenges. Dr B Suresh, vice chancellor, JSS University, Mysore will speak on Challenges in Pharmaceutical Education to Meet International Quality by 2020.
Dr Salim Velji, director, Directorate of Food & Drug Administration, Goa will address on the Recent Changes in Regulatory Environment.
Dr C Gopalakrishna Murthy, president, IPA, India will be the chairman for the M L Khorana Memorial Lecture.
Prafull D Sheth, vice president, International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) will speak on how pharmaceutical sector can meet the challenges of inclusive growth and service delivery to create access to affordable, quality medicines within a sound regulatory environment.
Ajit Singh, chairman ACG-Worldwide, Mumbai and chairman –ISPE India Affiliate will be the chairman: symposium on Product Quality Life Cycle Implementation.
V B Desai, director (projects), M S Ramaiah Clinical BA/ BE Centre, Bangalore will be the chairman: Harmonization of Pharmacopoeia.
Dr T V Narayana, chairman IPA-Education Division will be the co-chairman : Bridging Gap between Industry & Curriculum.
