ScImage Inc has selected its first regional distributor. While ScImage has international dealers, this is the first in the U.S. The Silicon Valley medical technology company says it expects to sign at least 2 more U.S. distributors to compliment their existing direct sales organization by the end of the year.
USAPACS, located in Gulf Breeze Florida, will distribute ScImage's NetraMD and PICOM family of products in Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. The new product lines will allow USAPACS to broaden their customer offerings to include wellness screening software, teleradiology, and cardiology image and information management.
The NetraMD software package has become the industry gold standard for coronary calcium scoring and is just one of the reasons that ScImage continues to be the market leader in calcified plaque analysis systems with over 200,000 scans performed to date. ScImage is also the first company to implement CT Angiography using curvilinear maximum intensity projections. USAPACS will also be distributing ScImage's new Virtual Colonoscopy software and newest version of 3-D software.
PICOM technology allows imaging centers or hospital radiology and cardiology departments to combine, display, distribute, and archive images and related procedure information collected electronically at the point of care. Due to PICOM's open architecture and web archive options, the solution is not only perfect for an integrated environment, but also ideal for satisfying the upcoming HIPAA regulations. The PICOM user interface is browser-based and extremely user-friendly. The PICOM web server securely routes and distributes information via the Electronic Patient Folder (EPF) throughout the care continuum. Secure access is location independent making it convenient and flexible for clinicians, physicians, and patients. ScImage has removed the need for specialized workstations therefore significantly reducing cost. NetraMD and PICOM lines offer automated report generation and delivery, robust personalized databases, and upcoming new releases that include scheduling and billing modules.
