SDIX announced a multi-year collaboration with Banyan Biomarkers, Inc to provide products and services for Banyan’s biomarker discovery work in the detection of traumatic brain injury (TBI).

The partnership calls for SDIX to collaborate with Banyan on the development of antibodies and immuno-solutions that include custom monoclonal and polyclonal antibody development; cell line banking and cryostorage; and antibody production and purification – in vivo and in vitro

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), at least 1.7 million suffer a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the United States annually. That’s more than the number diagnosed with the top five cancers combined according to National Cancer Institute (NCI) statistics. Of those individuals, about 52,000 die, 275,000 are hospitalized, and 1.365 million are treated and released from an emergency department. The International Brain Injury Association reports 5.3 million Americans are living today with disabilities related to TBI.
