Senetek PLC has entered into an agreement with Med Beauty AG for the marketing and distribution of Kinetin-based products in the Salon Esthetician Market in Europe.

The agreement provides for an upfront licensing fee to Senetek with subsequent high margin royalty payments commencing in 2001. Med Beauty, based in Zurich, is a distributor of high-end skincare products to the European Salon Market. The initial launch is planned for Switzerland next year. The contract also provides for expansion into additional European markets.

Frank Massino, chairman and CEO of Senetek PLC stated, "This partnership represents a significant milestone for Senetek as it will initiate our first Kinetin launch in the European market as well as our first entry into the Salon Esthetician Market."

Kinetin is Senetek's proprietary skincare technology, which in clinical testing at the University of California, Irvine has demonstrated good to excellent results in reversing the signs of photo damaged skin. Kinetin has been shown to ameliorate fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and improve skin texture without the irritation and photosensitivity associated with the use of retinoids and AHA's.
