Several health care seminars to take off in Bangalore from mid- November
The Indian Society of Health Administrators (ISHA) will be organising a series of events beginning from November 20, 2002 in Bangalore. The programmes are for senior medical professional, health officers, nursing staff, non-medical administrators and executives in government, private, industrial, health professional training institutes, voluntary and international organisations.
The city was preferred because of the presence of leading hospitals here in the city like Manipal Hospital, Wockhardt Hospital and Heart Institute, Mallya Hospital. National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Narayana Hrudayalaya, National Tuberculosis Institute, to name a few.
There is a an affordable fee for the training programme which covers faculty, course material, field trips, informed Dr. Ashok Sahni, professor and Hon. Executive director, ISHA.
The events are: Second National Seminar on Blood Transfusion, Blood Bank Management and Blood Donor Motivation to be held between November 20-22, 2002, followed by the Eleventh National Seminar on Computer Applications to Hospitals and Health Care from November 26-29,2002.
There will be a lone event in December, which is the Twenty Sixth National Seminar on disasters and emergencies management in collaboration with the Department of public enterprises, New Delhi from December 11-14, 2002 here in the city.
Beginning next year are five more events slated to be organised here. These are the twenty ninth National ten day course on Management Techniques And Clinical Updates For Nursing Personnel, January 8-17, 2002, National Workshop On Health, Stress And Career Adjustments for Women Professionals, January 22-24; Fourth National seminar on Updates in Mental Health Care, Diagnosis, Treatment And Rehabilitation, March 25-28.
