The Thrissur-based Sitaram Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd, one among the oldest Kerala Ayurvedic companies, has launched 19 Kashayam capsules in the market from its large basket of traditional liquid kashayams.

Recently the company launched capsule forms of Cheriyarasnadi, Chiruviluadi, Chuvannaratha, Mahathikthakam, Manjishtadi, Punarnnavadi, Varanadi, Amruthoththaram, Ashtavargam, Brihathyaadi, Dashamoolakaduthrayam, Dhanvantharam, Gulguluthikthakam, Indukandam, Maharasnadi, Pathyakshadhathryadi, Padoladiganam, Rasnairandadi and Sahajaradi kashayams in the market.

Kashayam capsule manufactured by Sitaram has the same efficacy and solubility ability as in the case of its traditional kashayams. Sitaram has started a national level marketing initiative for the new product, said Dr. D Ramanathan, managing director, Sitaram Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd.

The 84-year-old Sitaram will start civil works for a 100-bed super speciality hospital at its Veliyannur premises by January 2006. The hospital will commence functioning by March 2007, said Dr. Ramanathan. As Pharmabiz reported earlier, the Rs 10-crore Sitaram Ayurveda Super Speciality hospital in a 60 cent premises, will have eight specialty divisions in accordance with the Ayurveda sasthras.
