Solstice Neurosciences, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development, manufacturing, sales and marketing of specialty products, has elevated its chairman of board of directors Dennis L. Smith to the president and chief executive officer of the company. However, Smith would also continue to be its chairman of board of directors.

"I am excited to join Solstice at this time to work with the management team and the board of directors to help lead and guide the company's future strategic direction," said Smith.

According to a company press release, Smith brings unique specialty pharmaceutical industry experience and expertise to Solstice that will be invaluable in providing guidance, leadership and strategies for growth as the company continues to broaden its product portfolio and map its strategy.

Most recently, Smith served as president and chief executive officer of INO Therapeutics LLC, a specialty pharmaceutical company with strengths in development, marketing and sales of critical care drugs and drug/device combinations. He also has worked with DuPont Pharmaceutical Company Baxter International and Sandoz Pharmaceuticals.
