Srishti storms into channel sales to tap booming market opportunities in HMIS

Srishti Software is on a major expansion mode as it enters into the channel sales arena to market its comprehensive Healthcare Information Management System (HIMS) 'PARAS'. The channel sales will supplement its direct sales model to help keep pace with the growing opportunities in the healthcare space.

The company is confident of clocking $5 million from sales in the current year which is double the revenues over last year's $1.2 million. In fact, the company estimates a four times jump year-on-year. The boom in hospital expansions makes it mandatory and indispensable for healthcare providers to comply with global international information technology applications. This is where Srishti stands to gain stated Ajay Shankar Sharma, CEO of Srishti Software.

It has appointed the Regional Master Partners for the domestic market foray and one each for North Africa and six countries in the GCC region. The International Regional Partners have their own channels and value-added resellers and local distributors. In the domestic market Srishti has six Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and around 20 resellers below them spread across the country.

The VARs trained by Srishti are engaged in basic customization, training and provide the first line of support. However, the local resellers' responsibilities are restricted to pure selling. The company provides back-up support and hand holding and steps in on a need basis whenever there is an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).

The hospital Management Information System in India is valued at $20 billion and is registering an annual growth rate of 20 per cent. Among dedicated HIMS companies in India are US-based Cerner, Eclipses, IBA and Meditech along with ISoft from Europe. Srishti is the only Indian player focusing on HIMS in the country, he said.

According Sharma, in the next few years implementation of high-end IT for operational and clinical integration, will be a key differentiator and hospitals which do not embrace these advancements are set to perish. With Joint Commission International (JCI) and National Accreditation Board for Hospital (NABH) being compulsory to woo international patients, HIMS will be s requisite need for approval.

Srishti in addition to automation of day-to-day administration and logistical process also offers high-end clinical integration and analysis. The robust centralised, well-integrated, real-time solution is critical in hospital functioning.

PARAS, has been successfully implemented in over 20 hospitals including Vinayaka Mission Hospital, KG Hospital, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Narayana Nethralaya, BECIL, a Government of India Enterprise, Tata Chemicals Hospital (Babrala), Tata Chemicals Hospital (Mithapur), Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, Seventh Day Adventist Medical Centre, Max Healthcare, Shija Hospital, BANSAL Hospital & Research Centre, Karnataka Government - Health. Its international installations in Europe are Isabel Healthcare and AxSys Technologies. PARAS has been the choice at the Army Hospital in Afghanistan.
