STEM – 2010 in Goa between Jan 31-Feb 1 to focus on latest trends in stem cells

Society for Regenerative Medicine & Tissue Engineering (SRMTE ) will be organizing a two-day conference ‘STEM – 2010’. This is the sixth Annual Conference on Biotechnology - Focusing on latest trend in Stem cells, Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering. The two day event will be held between January 31 and February 1, 2010 at the Goa International Centre, Goa. The key objective of the event is create an awareness on stem cell as a regenerative therapy for chronic disease conditions.

The conference will be inaugurated by the chief minister of Goa, Digambar Kamat and the Conference Support partners are Govt of Goa, Directorate of Industries, Trade & commerce,Department of Information & Publicity, Govt. of Goa, Goa University as Academic Partner and Associate Support Partners are Goa Chamber of Commerce and Goa Pharma Manufacturers’ Association.

This two days event will be attended by delegates from India, other Asian countries, US and UK. The organizing committee includes Dr S G A Rao, CMD, ISSL, Bangalore who heads the event. The other members include Dr Dhillon Desai (Goa), Dr Srinivas V, Dr Gururaj A Rao, B Prakash, Ambar Rao (Bangalore). The coordinator of the conference is Sankar Iyer. Other office bearers are Dr Manoj Mojamdar, president. Dr Jyothsna Rao, secretary.

The event will also be attended by the government officials, bio-pharma companies, CROs, CMOs, Stem Cell Biologists, Tissue Engineering companies, Research Institutes, Hospitals, medical professionals, Instrumentation Manufacturers and Distributors, Bioinformatic companies, Academics, Students, IPR companies, Venture Capital firms, Private Equity companies, Banks and Insurance providers.

Society for Regenerative Medicine & Tissue Engineering, a registered non-profit society formed by a group of scientists working on stem cell research and stem cell based therapies. The Society has been organizing conferences from 2004 confining to the scientific fraternity, hospitals and doctors.
