Strides Arcolab Ltd has acquired the Hyderabad-based Medgene Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd by taking up 90 per cent equity stake in the company.

Accordingly, Medgene has become a subsidiary of the company with effect from May 03, 2005. Medgene is engaged in the business of biotech and biopharmaceuticals, stated a company release.
