Suven net up by 141% in Q2

Suven Life Sciences’ revenue for the second quarter ending September 2003 has increased to Rs. 13.23 crore compared to corresponding quarter of last year of Rs. 10.11 crore, an increase of 30% while the net is up by an impressive 141%.

The revenue for the half year ending September 2003 stood at Rs. 28.00 crore, an increase of almost Rs. 10 crore compared to the corresponding half year ending September 2002, which stood at Rs. 18.23 crore.

The company posted a Profit (after tax) of Rs. 4.87 crore for the half year ending September 2003 compared to Rs. 2.49 crore for the corresponding half year ending September 02, an increase by 95%.

During the period upto September 30, 2003, Suven has deployed Rs. 2.56 crore towards R&D as compared to Rs. 1.33 crore during the same period in the previous year. Suven in its endeavour to offer entire spectrum of services from Drug Discovery through manufacturing, and continues to deploy funds in R&D.
