Tamil Nadu IPA to felicitate IDMA president S V Veeramani at 53rd Pharmacy Week Celebration in Chennai

The 53rd Pharmacy Week Celebration will be conducted in Chennai under the leadership of Tamil Nadu branch of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association in a grand manner on November 22, 2014.

The theme of this year’s celebration is ‘Responsible use of medicines, role of pharmacists’. The chief guest of this year’s programme is Dr VK Subburaju, secretary of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India.

In the meeting organised as part of the celebration, the pharma industry associations in Tamil Nadu will felicitate S V Veeramani, the newly elected president of the Indian Drugs Manufacturers Association (IDMA).

Prof. K Chinnasami, president of Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council of India, is the guest of honour at the function. M M Yusuf, president of TN IPA, will preside over and S Abdul Khadar, drugs controller, Tamil Nadu, Dr S Manivannan, deputy DC at CDSCO, J Jayaseelan, secretary TN IPA and, Dr S Ravichandran, vice-president, IPA will speak at the function.

According to sources, the aim of pharmacy week celebration is to encourage the masses with knowledge about the importance of pharmacy profession and to project the image and role of the pharmacists.
