Targeted Medical Pharma, Inc.,  a biotechnology company that develops and distributes prescription medical foods to physicians and pharmacies, has received an Issue Notification from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) regarding projected patent number 8370172, which relates to a system and method for submitting claims for a dispensed medication to a patient by point-of-care physicians. The USPTO indicated that it expects the patent will be issued on February 5, 2013.
