Teleradiology Solutions' opens new facility at Whitefield, Bangalore

Teleradiology Solutions, a leading provider of tele-radiology services in India, has opened its new centre at Whitefield, Bangalore. No details of investment were disclosed.

The new 70,000 square feet facility is now designed to offer tele-radiology services to hospitals around the globe, including the interpretation of all non-invasive imaging studies, namely CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine studies and digitized X-rays via teleradiology (remote interpretation). The centre has features such as a slide from the café lounge to the tennis court to create a stress-free environment.

The facility would play a critical role in the rapidly evolving space of telemedicine and is a reflection of the company's commitment to developing Bangalore as a global teleradiology hub, stated Nandan Nilekani, CEO and Managing Director, Infosys Technologies Ltd., who inaugurated the facility.

Dr Arjun Kalyanpur, CEO, Teleradiology Solutions, said, "We started our operations in 2002 with a two member team. This new centre marks a tremendous leap forward for our company. It aims to further strengthen and expand our efforts towards catalysing the growth of the telemedicine space in India and enable us to deliver quality services on the cutting edge of technology".

Teleradiology Solutions, established in 2002 to provide US and Indian hospitals with teleradiology services, has become a leader in the imaging markets field. The company now provides teleradiology services to hospitals around the globe, which includes interpretation of all non-invasive imaging studies, namely CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine studies and digitized X-rays via teleradiology (remote interpretation). It also provides subspecialty consultations in cardiovascular imaging to hospitals in India, including Narayana Hrudayalaya and Columbia Asia, and has a tie-up with the National Healthcare Group, Singapore. The company has been certified by the Joint Commission of Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

Among those present at the inauguration included Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Hrudayalaya and Prof. Lenny Tan, President, International Society of Radiology, Chairman Medical Board, National University of Singapore.
