TN govt to fill up 24 posts of drug inspectors soon

The Tamil Nadu government will be filling up the vacancies for drugs inspectors in the state soon. As many as 24 vacancies have been referred to the State Public Service Commission to initiate the procedures. The TN PSC is recruiting drugs inspectors after a gap of ten years. The last recruitment through PSC was held in the year 1999, according to sources from the Drugs Control Directorate.

According to the notification issued by the Commission, a candidate wishing to apply for the post should possess either a Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or a Degree in Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology. The last date prescribed for submitting the application is 6th May.

Regarding vacancies, the notification says the number of vacancies advertised is only approximate and it is liable to modification with reference to vacancy position at any time before finalisation of selection for oral test or selection for appointment. The rule of reservation of appointments is applicable to this post and distribution of the vacancies will be as per the rule in force.
