Two drugs control officials bag honours at IPC

SW Deshpande, former joint commissioner, Maharashtra FDA and MP George, deputy drugs controller of Kerala bagged honours at the 58th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held at Mumbai. While Deshpande won the Life Time Achievement award and George received the best drugs controller award.

The Zydus Cadila chief Pankaj Patel bagged the KC Chatterjee memorial award. The IPA Award went to Gopal Krishnamurthy. The ML Khurana Memorial Award was received by Vasanth Tela. Dr Srivatsava Memorial Award went to Dr PP Thampi.

ML Shroff Memorial Award went to Prof Srinath and the KK Acharjee Award was received by Nagavenkata Hari. In the best pharmacy student category, Nidhi Shah bagged the Prof ML Shroff Memorial Award. Under the best pharmacy graduate award category the ML Khurana award went to Annapurna Vadivelu.

The winners of the essay competition who bagged the BV Patel Award were Adarsh and Sadana Shah.
