Unichem net declines by 10.6 % in Q1

The Mumbai based pharma company Unichem Laboratories has suffered setback during the first quarter ended June 2007. The company's net profit decline by 10.6 per cent to Rs 22.50 crore from Rs 25.16 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its net sales went up by 12.1 per cent to Rs 153.49 crore from Rs 136.93 crore. The company has declared 100 per cent dividend for year 2006-07.

The company has formulation facilities at Ghaziabad, Baddi Goa. Its API facilities are located at Roha and Pitampur. Recently, the company has received US FDA approval for its API plants at Roha and formulation plant at Goa. Unichem has consistently maintained highest quality standards, evident from the certificates from various international agencies like UK MHRA, TGA, ANVISA, WHO-GMP etc.
