The United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted another standard-essential patent to Spherix Incorporated, an intellectual property development company committed to the fostering and monetization of intellectual property.

The company has received from the USPTO an issue notification for patent RE45521, set to issue on May 19, 2015.  This patent is part of the same family of standard-essential patents currently being litigated against both Cisco and Verizon.  The patented technology relates to the transmittal of data over a network and further enhances the company's existing portfolio.
