Vidar Systems Corporation, the leading manufacturer of medical film digitizers, has received certification to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000. This achievement ensures that Vidar is well ahead of the December 31, 2003 mandatory deadline.

G-MED extended Vidar's existing certification, "Design, manufacture, final inspection and repair of X-ray film digitizers" according to the standards EN 46001:96, ISO 9001:2000, and CE MDD Annex V. The 2000 revision of ISO 9001 is a significant change in structure as it adheres to a process model and includes an expansive series of requirements.

Brian Beardslee, vice president of Vidar Medical Imaging, said, "The design, manufacturing and management processes in place at VIDAR promote continuous quality improvement and market leadership as demonstrated by receiving the certification to this standard." He adds, "We will continue to develop the highest quality, most consistent, reliable product, and continue to strive for 100% customer satisfaction."
