WB IPA to organise week-long programme for national pharmacy week celebration
The West Bengal branch of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) will conduct one week programmes to hold the 50th National Pharmacy Week Celebration-2011, from November 20 to 27 in Kolkata.
Dr Nirmal Maji, MLA and Chairman of the West Bengal Pharmaceutical & Phytochemical Corporation will inaugurate this year’s function at the Science City Mini Auditorium on Sunday.
Dr Ashok K. Maity, honorary secretary of IPA Bengal Branch, Dr. Jayanta Kumar Chatterjee, Chairman, 50th National Pharmacy Week Celebration Committee, Dr. Chintamony Ghosh, Director of Drugs Control, Prof. Dipankar Chakraborty, Vice President, Pharmacy Council of India and Dr. R.N.Gupta, Vice President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association will deliver on various subjects.
On the second and third days, there will be Seminars on ‘New Horizon in Pharma Industry in India’ at the Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology & Allied Health Sciences in Howrah and at the Institute of Pharmacy in Jalpaiguri.
From 22 to 27, all the pharmacy colleges in West Bengal will conduct special seminars, processions, pharma quiz and debates involving students of pharmacy. In the end, there will be cultural programmes, sources from the celebration committee informed Pharmabiz.
