Well known clinician and expert in pulse diagnosis Vaidya Triguna passes away
Raj Vaidya Brihaspati Dev Triguna, patron of the Executive Committee of the Association of Manufacturers of Ayurveda Medicines (AMAM), who is a well known clinician and expert in nadi vidya or pulse diagnosis passed away on January 1, 2013. He was 94 years.
The AMAM office-bearers said that the government of India had recognised the efforts of Vaidya Triguna as he was the recipient of both the second and third highest civilian awards Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan. He had trained over 200 students under the Guru Shishya Parampara a forum of ayurveda education. He was popularly referred to as Bade Vaidya ji and scores of patients flocked to his Sarai Kale Khan Clinic in New Delhi. He is now survived by his sons and daughters among whom is Vaidya Devendra Triguna who is also a Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan recipient and the current president of AMAM.
Pradeep Multani, general secretary, AMAM said that Vaidya Triguna’s chautha ceremony would be held on January 10, 2013 from 3 pm to 4 pm at the Chinmaya Mission, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
