Win-Medicare, a UK Modi Group company, has launched Contractubex for the treatment of scars. It is a patented formulation from Merz, Germany. The product has been in over 50 countries worldwide including the US and UK, since the last twenty years.

The active ingredients in Contractubex are Extr. Cepae (Cepalin), heparin, and allantoin. The gel can be used to treat both old (less than one year duration) and recent scars, resulting from burns, injury, accidents, operation, vaccination, acne etc., a company release said.

It is easy to use and tolerated even after long-term use. It is priced at Rs.460 for 20g tube and can be obtained on doctor's prescription, the release added.

The company is involved in marketing antiseptics such as Betadine Ointment, Betadine Gargle, analgesics, hepatotherapeutics and infertility drugs.

Win Medicare has recently established licensing agreement with Merz Pharmaceuticals GmbH, Germany for marketing their hepatotherapeutic and other pharmaceutical products.

Win Medicare has also reached licensing arrangements with IBSA, Switzerland for bolstering its gynaecological products and Tillots Pharma AG, Switzerland for its Gastroenterology range of products.
