Wincoat Colours and Coatings, a company engaged in manufacturing ready mix coatings for solid oral dosage forms, has appointed Subodh Priolkar as chief executive officer, effective from January 8, 2018.

Subodh’s last assignment was as managing director, Colorcon Asia Pvt. Ltd., South Asia and South East Asia. Prior to this, he was managing director of Aptar Pharma, South Asia and associate director, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing of Wyeth India. He also has worked in R&D- formulation development in the early part of his career.

Subodh is a successful senior business leader with over 3 decades of diverse experience in the pharmaceutical and associated industry. Subodh has a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Mumbai University and has completed his Master’s Degree in Management from Mumbai University. He has also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from University of Ghent, Belgium.

Subodh was President of Indian Pharmaceutical Association for two consecutive terms from 2004 – 2008 and is still an active part of the senior IPA Leadership for strategic inputs. He has been recipient of IPA Fellowship, Eminent Pharmacist Award from IPA and the Prestigious Pan-Asian Ishidate Award for contribution to Pharmaceutical Industry.
