Primary Angioplasty in Myocardial Infarction (PAMI) is the angioplasty done as a life-saving emergency procedure in a patient with an on-going myocardial infarction. The term coronary angioplasty is used to describe a technique wherein a balloon is used to crush blockages in the blood vessels [coronary arteries] supplying the heart, thereby restoring good flow of blood.

These procedures are invariably followed by insertion of metal scaffolding called a stent which prevents recoil and reduces re-blockage at the ballooned site, which is called a stenting procedure. For patients who arrive at an emergency department due to Heart attack  need to provide PAMI which saves his or her life within 90 minutes, but many times patient family waste time (Golden Hour) to decide which procedure or treatments to follow after Heart attack which can lead to tragedy also.
