Wockhardt's new B'lore hospital to offer comprehensive women healthcare
The Wockhardt Hospitals Group, which is in the process of commissioning a 400-bed hospital at Bangalore by May this year, is setting up a Women's Health facility at the hospital to provide comprehensive services to all health related issues concerning women. The Birthing Centre of the hospital will offer new generation neonatology services to ensure advanced and safe environment for both mothers and their newborns.
"As a healthcare provider, we plan to create a focused healthcare facility for women at our new hospital in Bangalore with the combination of ambience, service and clinical care. It is a known fact that women have a much earlier interface with healthcare providers at an earlier age than men because of their biological needs and they therefore require healthcare environment having good listeners to their issues and concerns," stated Vishal Bali, CEO, Wockhardt Hospitals Group.
This new super speciality hospital, coming up at Bannerghatta Road, will be amongst the largest and most modern facilities in Asia, dedicated to Heart care, Ortho care, Neuro care and Women's care with a team of leading doctors in the country. The existing Wockhardt Hospital in Bangalore on the Cunningham Road would continue to function, informed Vishal Bali.
Wockhardt Hospitals Group currently runs a cluster of super specialty hospitals in Mumbai dedicated to cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology and minimal access surgery. It runs heart hospitals in Bangalore, Mumbai and Nagpur and a super specialty kidney hospital in Kolkata. The group hospital in Mumbai is the first super specialty hospital in South Asia to receive the JCI accreditation for quality focused healthcare organizations. In recent months, the hospitals have been receiving several patients from Europe. Wockhardt is also the first hospital group in South Asia to be recognized by the American Blue Cross Blue Shield Association in its worldwide network of participating hospitals and has recently been empanelled by CIGNA.
