World Dental Congress & Exhibition 'fdi Dubai 2007' from Oct 24 to 27
Identifying India as an important market in the dentistry map of the world, a high level FDI delegation from Dubai is in the country to rope in a large number of delegates to the fdi Annual World Dental Congress and Exhibition 'fdi Dubai 2007' which will be held in Dubai, UAE between October 24 and 27, 2007.
The organisers of 'fdi Dubai 2007' hosted a conference yesterday in Mumbai, inviting delegates from dentistry and allied industries in India to the high-profile industry event. Over 20,000 delegates from all the over the world are expected to take part in the event.
Extending a special registration fee of 100 euros for Indian dentists for attending the fdi Annual World Dental Congress and Exhibition 2007 in Dubai, the Director General of Department of Health & Medical Services (DOHMS) and chairman of the organising committee of fdi Dubai 2007 Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid hoped that the conference would be major success with the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
The delegation also plans to meet senior officials in the industry for making the event a grand success. Dental Diversity in the Land of Tomorrow will be the theme of this congress.
Addressing the media Murooshid said "India is very important for the international dental fraternity. The UAE and Dubai, in particular, have always shared a close historical bond with India, encompassing a host of trade and cultural ties. The fdi Dubai 2007 is another opportunity to extend a special invitation to the members of the dental community in India."
In his comment Dr. Al Banna observed, "This congress will focus on latest scientific topics affecting the profession globally. The vast array of seminars and workshops with speakers from around the world will shed light on the latest innovation in dentistry today."
Briefing about the arrangements provided for the delegates Dr Al Banna said "The usual fee is 350 euros, but we have a special offer for our Indian contemporaries which is 100 euros. This will apply to both students and doctors. We have also a 50 per cent discount for IATA air fares, we also have tied up with 46 hotels in Dubai to offer special rates for the delegates. To cap it we also have bus services to facilitate transportation and the Naturalisation and Residency Department will run a special group to ensure visas are supplied on time."
Also present at the conference was Dr Ashok Dhoble, secretary general of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) who hoped that there will have a 2000 strong Indian delegation in the event.
FDI congresses are internationally recognised events that focus on the latest scientific topics affecting the profession globally. The FDI world dental federation is headquartered in France and is the one of the oldest charitable organizations in the world. It was founded in 1900 with currently more than 150 member associations in 130 countries, representing more than nine lakh dentists worldwide.
