Yashoda Hospitals collaborates with Cliveland to offer ACCC to doctors

The Hyderabad based Yashoda Hospital Group has collaborated with Cleveland Clinic of USA to offer advanced courses in clinical cardiology (ACCC) to doctors and cardiac specialists in India.

Setting a platform for giving insights into management of important clinical problems in contemporary cardiology, both Yashoda Hospital and Cleveland Clinic organised the third edition of ACCC 2013 from April 27 to 28, 2013 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). The two-day conference mainly focused on various aspects of advanced heart diagnostics and important clinical problems in contemporary cardiology.

The programme also gained importance as it gave opportunity for the Indian doctors, practitioners and students to interact with national and international faculty who came to present their vital research findings in the field of cardiology.

Having received tremendous response from the students, doctors, specialist and researchers, Yashoda Hospitals and Cliveland Clinic collaborated together and had come forward to offer continued medical education programme for the medical fraternity. The joint initiative was developed with the idea to study new and relevant topics in cardiology. Experts in the fields of preventive cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure and interventional cardiology took part and gave presentations covering latest in the field of cardiology practice.

About 500 cardiologists and physicians from India and all over the world, including experts from the Cleveland Clinic attended the scientific sessions. The two-day conference was designed to conduct a total of six scientific sessions covering four different topics of all aspects of cardiology. The topics of discussion included ‘HTN and Valvular heart disease, Heart failure, CAD and Arrhythmia. Some of the courses also featured live cases showcasing the latest techniques and technologies in interventional cardiology.

The programme was presided over by Dr GS Rao, managing director, Yashoda Group of Hospitals. Dr Samir Kapadia, director, Sones Cardia Catheterization Laboratory at Cleveland Clinic and Dr V Rajasekahar, senior interventinal cardiologist and electropysiologist at Yashoda Hospitals. Speaking on the occasion, Dr GS Rao said, “Yashoda Group of Hospitals has consistently ventured to bring the latest, world class medical systems to its patients with its ‘high quality-highly affordable’ model of working. ACCC 2013 further consolidates our commitment to bring in the latest and the best to our patients and doctors as well.
