Yogin Majmudar, the managing director of Bakul Aromatics and Chemicals Ltd and vice-president of the Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association, will take over as IDMA president from the current incumbent Nischal H Israni on the IDMA annual day on December 21 this year.

Majmudar is the senior vice-president of the Bulk Drug Manufacturers' Association (BDMA) and is widely known as an "anti-dumping" man. Israni is the founder-Chairman and Managing Director of Blue Cross Laboratories Ltd.

Shirish Mody, the younger brother of J B Chemicals Ltd's Director D B Mody, will take over as the new vice-president of IDMA on the same day.

The function will be held at Gateway Taj hotel. The IDMA annual general meeting will be held at the same venue in the afternoon.
