Yashoda Medicare invests Rs.100 cr for 240 bed

Yashoda Medicare has pumped in Rs.100 crore to set up its first ever hospital in the country at Bangalore. The 240 bed medical centre is located in Bangalore at Marathahalli. The healthcare company which is jointly promoted by Indian and foreign Investors has opted for Bangalore as a hub of its Indian operations. It has also announced its plan to open another 18 hospitals pan India in the next 3 years.


 


The new facility is a super speciality centre with doctors selected from across India and abroad. Some of the key departments include cardiac science, neuro science, orthopaedics, nephrology/urology, gastroenterology, obstetrics gynaecology and paediatrics. It also has a well-equipped accident/trauma cases with a 40 bed ICU.


 


 There are 9 specialized Operation Theatres with laminar flows ensuring zero infection besides an advanced MRI and high speed 64 slice Cardiac CT scan for non-invasive diagnostic procedure to detect coronary artery blocks, apart from the flat panel digital cathlab from GE with IVUS technology. Among the focus area of the facility would be minimally invasive procedures.


 


Elaborating on the expansion plans, Dr Amit Kumar Keshri, promoter & managing director, Yashoda Medicare stated that in the next 10 months it would set up its facility at Ranchi by mid next year.


 


“We see a lot of potential for healthcare in India and I feel there is still a large requirement for world-class hospitals. Currently in India, bed to people ratio is 1: 1000, which clearly indicates the scope of potential of healthcare in India”, stated Dr Nikitin Artur Vladimirovitch, promoter & chairman, Yashoda Medicare.


 


In another initiative, Yashoda Medicare also entered into a joint venture with Acura Kliniken, a German healthcare provider with 2 clinics in Germany, which is one of the top 50 hospitals in Germany.


 


Dr S Ravi, promoter & vice chairman, Yashoda Medicare said, “the joint venture with Acura Kliniken would see the Group chalk out plans to set up more hospitals in Germany as well as in India in the near future. We are also working towards the knowledge transfer between Germany and India.”


 


The hospital has been able to tap the best pool of medical talent, and aim to provide best quality service with motherly care, stated Dr S K Saran, director medical services, Yashoda Medicare.
